iPhone 4 or iPhone and iPhone 4S previous generation who are already using iOS4 to the top, is equipped with Wireless Tethering feature that means you can easily use the iPhone as a modem or a Wifi Hotspot for other WiFi devices such as laptops.
To start using the iPhone 4 as a modem or a WiFi Hotspot, just go to the Settings menu and select Personal Hotspot. Change from Off to ON. And now you can directly use the iPhone as a Wifi or Modem.
